I stayed at this dormitory for 6 months when i was a student at Kyoto University. It is far from the main campus (around an hour, door to door). Quality-wise it was average, definitely not good, and not very bad either. It is located in Uji, which is a quiet city in Kyoto.

If you attend Kyoto university, you may be placed in this dorm. It’s very far from the general city center, but the actual dorm room it’s self, is beautiful. Its nice, clean, and very quiet.

Plus, the supermarkets around here significantly cheaper than the city center of Kyoto. But there is no real nightlife, and not much to do in general. I sometimes went running to Uji, which was fun.
