（原文） Extremely lucky to visit this Kannon-do temple in the year of Gokaicho which unveils treasured Buddha image(s) every certain year. This temple’s treasured images are stone statue of Amida Buddha and 33 stone statues(carvings) of Kannon Bodhisattvas and this Gokaicho happens only once in 33 years!!! Gokaicho at this Kannondo was open to public in August, 2018. This means.....next time you could see these statues will be in August 2051.
History of the temple is very old since Heian Period and Gokaicho seemed to be started in the middle of 17th century. Amida statue is said to be made by Kukai (Kobo Daishi).
